The APL adheres to the rules of World Powerlifting United (WPU). To become an APL referee, you must complete the WPU referee course. The course includes comprehensive and practical training in all areas required to be a competent referee in the APL.
As a powerlifting meet director, you get to be at the forefront of the action – orchestrating each aspect of the competition to create an unforgettable experience for athletes and fans of powerlifting. You’ll be responsible for managing everything from the rules and logistics, to ensuring the support of each and every athlete.
